Our second baby’s almost here, and before that happens, I wanted to check one big project off the list — giving our master bedroom some character.

In this video, I’m building a DIY master bedroom accent wall start to finish. The plan:

• Add wainscoting
• Paint it a rich green
• Install new sconce lighting on each side of the bed
• Swap in floating nightstands for a cleaner, more custom look

I’ll walk through the process from the sketch to the layout, wiring the outlets and sconces, installing the paneling, and finishing everything off with paint and trim.

This one turned out way better than I expected — and I think we’ll be sleeping better now, too.
