Today on The Build Show, Lydia talks preparation and finishing techniques, specifically wet sanding. She emphasizes the importance of using a proper sponge with even texture and dampness, avoiding excess water which can cause streaking and damage to the mud. Wet sanding is recommended for minimizing dust while feathering joints or patches, but may be more labor-intensive than sandpaper. Regularly clean the sponge with water to maintain effectiveness. However, be cautious of overuse and replace when necessary.
