In this walkthrough, we highlight floor-to-ceiling paneling, raised panels, large panel jambs, traditional wainscoting, detailed molding transitions, custom stair millwork, and a stunning diamond-coffered ceiling. We also break down some of the more challenging details, including compound miters, curved molding, tongue-and-groove transitions, and the custom framing and blocking required to make everything fit perfectly.
From the symmetrical exterior and imported Italian slate roof to the intricate interior millwork, this house showcases how traditional Georgian architecture can be recreated in a modern custom build while maintaining the details and proportions that make the style so distinctive.
We also take a look at the floor-to-ceiling paneling in the study, including how the panel layout was designed around a large TV to make it feel more like an intentional piece of the room's architecture.
