Regardless of the science and politics surrounding many extreme events, we can all agree that there is merit in designing and building our homes to withstand extreme events: floods, earthquakes, wildfire, tornados, hurricanes, ice storms. Steve and Jake share their experiences designing and building homes that respond to the forces at play with extreme events. The key is to tune the building to the protection the client is seeking. In some ways it is similar to designing and building to specific health concerns clients may have.
