Travis Brungardt visits Stephanie Dailey's Altitude Adjustment build to walk through job site detailing that goes beyond typical standards. Stephanie explains why she keeps the site spotless for clients, buyers, and inspectors, then covers her approach to radiant floor heating with a gyp-crete pour, including how she protects ductwork and plumbing before the pour. They examine drywall prep on a dimensional-lumber frame, from marked studs to reinforced corner beads that guard against warped or knotted lumber. The conversation ends at a fireplace built from lightweight Icelandic volcanic pumice instead of traditional masonry block, reducing structural load and installation strain while improving heat retention.
