Lydia introduces USG Sheetrock Elite Finish, a finishing compound designed specifically for final coats, skim coats, and level four and five work. Unlike all-purpose or Plus Three, Elite Finish prioritizes slip, softness, and sandability — qualities finishers often have to sacrifice with general-purpose muds. Lydia's recommended workflow keeps all-purpose for taping, Plus Three for heavy fill coats, then transitions to Elite Finish for final passes, where its buttery consistency reduces pinholes and cuts sanding time. The product went through extensive reformulation before release and is currently available through USG distributors primarily in the Midwest.
