Shop Upgrade – ZIP-R Sheathing & Truck Drawer Install

Shop Exterior Upgrade – Installing ZIP-R Sheathing & Truck Storage System

Today we got all the siding off the shop and started upgrading the building envelope for better performance and durability.

We installed ZIP-R, an insulated structural sheathing system, over the existing wall sheathing to improve insulation, air sealing, and overall energy efficiency.

This upgrade replaces older, lower-quality exterior panels with a more modern continuous insulation system that also acts as a water-resistive barrier.

In addition to the shop work, I also installed new DECKED drawers in my truck for better organization and jobsite efficiency.

What This Video Covers

  • Removing existing shop siding
  • Upgrading exterior walls with ZIP-R insulated sheathing
  • Improving air sealing and thermal performance
  • Installing DECKED truck storage drawers
  • Jobsite organization and workflow improvements

Key Takeaway

This is a practical upgrade focused on improving both the building envelope of the shop and the efficiency of day-to-day jobsite operations.
