Stephanie Dailey walks through the process of ordering interior doors for a custom home, focusing on the details that can create costly problems if they are overlooked. She explains why door orders need to happen early, often during framing, and why rough openings, jamb sizes, drywall thickness, swing direction, trim details, and hardware choices all need to be coordinated in advance. Stephanie also discusses concealed hinges, door hardware, and the importance of allowing finished carpenters enough adjustment during installation. The process involves multiple trades and suppliers, making careful communication and reviewing the final order against the house especially important
