Modern Barndominium Tour | Custom Kitchen, Spa Master Bath & Huge Shop | CineTour
Welcome back to the channel! Josh and Brandi Helm here with Texas Best Construction, and today we’re excited to share another Barndominium tour that blends modern living with a massive shop.
This build features 2,000 square feet of finished living space, 650 square feet of unfinished bonus area upstairs, over 2,000 square feet of insulated shop, and 850 square feet of porches for true Texas indoor-outdoor living. Whether you’re looking for a place to raise a family, entertain, or park your RV, this home delivers.
The exterior shows off bold curb appeal with a charcoal roof and trim paired with tan wall panels. Decorative porches, steel gable accents, and extended overhangs provide both character and protection. This design even offers two “front” entry options, allowing flexibility for guests.
Inside, a vaulted great room connects to the kitchen and dining spaces, measuring roughly 32 by 19 feet. An 84-inch windmill fan keeps airflow moving, while Sherwin-Williams Downy Gray and Functional Gray create a calming palette.
Stained concrete floors in a rich chocolate tone ground the space, and a knotty alder entry door with ornamental iron makes a statement.
The dining area opens through double doors to a private porch, while the kitchen is designed for both style and function. Knotty alder cabinets stained Cannon Gray rise nine feet tall, paired with oil-rubbed bronze hardware and sapphire blue granite countertops.
The 4x8 island provides seating for three plus hidden storage, a trash pull-out, dishwasher, and a unique granite sink with LED faucet. LG ThinQ appliances bring high-tech convenience, including a cooktop, oven with built-in air fryer, and a refrigerator with dual ice makers and a knock-to-view panel.
The walk-in pantry offers floor-to-ceiling shelving and an outlet for small appliances.
The master suite is 15 by 18 feet with carpet, natural light, and porch access. A huge walk-in closet provides shelving, cubbies, and double rods.
The master bathroom includes dual vanities with framed mirrors, a jacuzzi tub for two, and a large walk-in shower with a rain head, handheld wand, body sprays, and seamless glass.
Two guest bedrooms (12x11 and 11x11) share a Jack & Jill bath with vanity space, a tub/shower combo, and linen storage. Each has generous closets, carpet, and retractable-blade ceiling fans.
A large laundry room offers granite counters, cabinets, and an in-wall dryer vent. Near the shop entry is a mudroom/drop zone option, perfect for cubbies or storage.
The shop is over 2,000 square feet and designed for serious function. Commercial insulated overhead doors include a massive 14-foot RV door.
Hybrid steel framing combined with closed-cell spray foam roof insulation and open-cell wall foam ensures strength and efficiency. Features include a hybrid electric water heater, additional storage under stairs, and a bonus loft space ready for finish-out.
We know costs are important, so here’s the breakdown: 2,000 sq ft finished living, 650 sq ft unfinished upstairs, 2,000+ sq ft shop, and 850 sq ft porches. Within Texas Best Construction’s build radius, this hybrid steel frame Barndominium would currently cost around $590,000.
This build truly blends style, function, and flexibility. From the vaulted great room and high-tech kitchen to the spa-like master suite and massive shop, it’s designed for both everyday living and long-term dreams.
