Line Sets

In today’s episode of The Build Show, Eric Aune dives into a critical HVAC detail that often gets overlooked: the line set. Filmed behind his shop in Minnesota, Eric introduces the Python line set, a composite alternative to traditional copper refrigerant piping. He explains how its multilayer PERT-aluminum-PERT design offers flexibility, durability, and easier handling on the jobsite. Eric also highlights major advantages like reduced weight, kink resistance, UV protection, and added security since it has no scrap value for theft. Along the way, he demonstrates the correct process for cutting, prepping, and connecting the system using mechanical fittings—eliminating the need for brazing or an open flame.
