Travis Brungardt walks through a bathroom renovation in his older home, focusing on the installation of a Schluter Kerdi waterproofing system. He explains how Kerdi Board replaces traditional cement board while making shower construction lighter, easier to handle, and more precise. The process covers preparing and leveling the subfloor, installing the shower pan, fastening the wall panels, waterproofing seams, and incorporating prefabricated shelves into the tile layout. Travis also discusses how renovation work, tight spaces, and the physical demands of construction influence his choice of building materials and systems.
