What happens when your home inspector doesn’t find many problems? Does that mean you got a great house—or did your inspector miss something?
A thorough home inspection isn’t measured by the number of defects in the report. In this video, I break down what actually goes into a professional home inspection, from evaluating HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and structural components to accessing attics, walking roofs when conditions allow, identifying safety concerns, and using specialized tools like thermal imaging.
Home inspectors look in places most homeowners wouldn’t go and evaluate things most buyers may not know how to assess. Sometimes that results in a long list of defects. Other times, there simply isn’t much wrong.
So when your home inspection comes back with only a few issues… is no news actually good news?
