I Spent a Week Renovating An ABANDONED HOUSE (Ep 5)

Today marks Day 5 on our meth house renovation project — and a lot happened.

We finished framing upstairs, started plumbing with my dad, and removed several old windows that were barely holding together. This episode shows how we rebuilt the unsafe knee wall at the stairs, fixed structure issues in the basement, and began roughing in the new washer/dryer setup for the master suite.

From plumbing leaks to bad framing to demoing old siding, this house is full of surprises — but every day it’s getting stronger.

Chapters:

  • 0:00 Rebuilding the weak stair wall
  • 1:50 Reinforcing framing to the beam below
  • 3:00 Setting new top plates and checking level
  • 5:45 Installing washer and dryer plumbing
  • 8:00 Fixing crooked basement beam
  • 10:45 Removing old windows and siding
  • 13:30 Wrapping up the day
