Framing with LVL studs
A house framed to withstand 112 MPH winds?! Matt Risinger shows us a house being framed with all LVL studs. LVL, or laminated veneer lumber, is manufactured wood glued and laminated together; also, a LVL stud is always perfectly straight.
In this video, you'll see a house being built using only LVL studs. On the exterior, Risinger uses AdvanTech sheathing, which is very waterproof and very strong; it's built to withstand a Category 5 hurricane.
Check out this quick video to see how the combination of LVL studs and new AdvanTech sheathing combine to make an extremely strong house.
