Project 150 Episode 4 Framing Out the Crawlspace
Ready to jump into framing? In this video, we walk through the essential first steps: squaring and snapping lines for the mudsill, laying it out, drilling, setting it in place, and then moving on to framing pony walls. To make the process faster and more accurate, we use two Stabila lasers—the LA180L layout station for quick, precise squares, and the LA350 for shooting level. Getting the mudsill right is critical, because when it’s accurate, the rest of the framing comes together smoothly.
We’ll also show how we set the heights for pony walls and secure them to the concrete using the Max HN120 pneumatic concrete nailer.
