Building a Monitor Style Barndominium With Wraparound Porches | Texas Best Construction
We are making incredible progress on this stunning barndominium project out here in Texas. I am such a huge fan of this wraparound porch design because it provides beautiful aesthetics along with maximum protection for your window spaces and a perfect spot for rocking chairs. You get such a peaceful view overlooking this gorgeous pond our client recently seeded and prepared.
This build features our signature hybrid steel framing method which combines the strength of steel roof supports with durable two by six stud walls and the airtight performance of the Huberwood ZIP System.
We are currently working through the HVAC layout to ensure everything flows perfectly for this custom home. The monitor style design gives this structure such an iconic look and the extended overhangs are a total game changer for shade and weather protection.
We are really focused on quality construction and energy efficiency which is why we utilize the ZIP System to seal up the envelope of the home. Dealing with the expansive clay soils in our region is a top priority so our engineered foundations ensure long-term stability for every project we build.
It is always a pleasure to document these barndominium living projects from the dirt work phase all the way to the final walkthrough. You can really see how much thought went into the placement of this house to maximize those beautiful water views.
