Travis Brungardt walks through what it actually takes to put HVAC equipment in an attic without creating problems down the road. He starts with the non-negotiable: the space has to be air sealed, insulated, and conditioned, not a standard vented attic hitting extreme temperatures. From there he covers sequencing airflow direction ahead of technician convenience, positioning filter access where homeowners can see and reach it, and keeping ductwork elevated rather than laid across joists. He also touches on using unistrut to suspend the unit and support a condensate pan as a backup against leaks, framing these choices as what separates a workable attic installation from a recurring service headache.
